Degree of PhD based upon his research in transcatheter valve therapies. Senior staff member interventional cardiology in the Thoraxcenter, Erasmus MC in February 2010. Clinical directior of Interventional Cardiology since 2014. Full professor of Interventional Cardiology at the Erasmus University Medical Center since September 1 2019. Published and co-authored over 500 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. Principle or co- investigator in multiple ongoing international trials . FESC and FACC.
