Daniel Gorman, MD

Dr Gorman joined the University of MIami faculty in the department of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine in August of 2022. Prior to that, he completed fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey in July of 2022. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Critical Care Echocardiography (NBE). At the University of Miami Hospital he works clinically in the MICU, CCU, and CVICU. He additionally works clinically at Jackson Memorial in their MICU. He currently serves as the Medical Director for the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team at University of Miami Hospital, a position he took over in January of 2023. He received grant funding in 2023 for ongoing clinical research on pulmonary embolism prognostication using right ventricular free wall strain. His clinical interests include advanced echocardiography, pulmonary embolism, advanced hemodynamics & resuscitation, mechanical circulatory support, and post cardiac surgery management.
